Simple. Comfy. Cozy. Right in the comfort of her own home. She wanted something very laid back and chill for her birthday photos. Just her and a couple of her favorite things. Her books and her wine. And I think we brought her vision to life just as she imagined.

The thirties. I’m convinced they’re so much better than our twenties. I feel like we get back to the core of who we really are in our thirties, we fall in love with ourselves and our lives again. The thirties can feel so surprisingly healing. There’s a kind of love for ourselves that doesn’t usually tend to exist yet in our twenties because it’s so full of survival mixed with comparison. Constantly proving and wondering and worrying if you’re behind. The thirties bring less desperation, more discernment. Deeper peace, clearer intuition. Stronger boundaries and softer confidence. Not perfect confidence, but grounded confidence. You start to realize “Man, I actually like who I am.” not just who we could be someday but who we are now.

There’s a whole lot less of shrinking our personality to seem easier to love. We become less afraid of being “too much” because we finally understand the right people experience us as a gift, not a burden.
The thirties can be so full of unexpected freedom. We realize there’s no universal timeline here. Women fall in love at 31, 36, 42. Women become mothers later. Some build dream homes later than planned and appreciate them even more because they fought and worked so hard for them. Some finally meet themselves after years of waiting for life to “start”.

We don’t have to have it all figured out at 30. Truly. A lot of people quietly reinvent themselves anyway. Like starting a new passionate hobby that turns into a whole business.

I am convinced this season comes with a whole new world of possibilities
